How to save money when you’re in college

You’re in college - it’s only first week of the month - on a seriously limited budget – broke

Is this your life story too?

Well don’t worry; here we are with some awesome life-saving money hacks. Yes, you read that right. What are you waiting for, start reading and start using these smart saving hacks:

We all know that books are the most expensive things which we buy during our college years. What if we tell you that you can save that entire money by one simple trick? When you have such an extensive collection of books in the library, you don’t have to go anywhere for books. So, next time when you need a book, just borrow it from your own library for free.

Stick to your budget; the one thing that can never go wrong. Yes we know it’s hard but if you are really serious about it and don’t want to spend your money on unnecessary things then stick to your budget. When you limit yourself to a number, you won’t spend it on useless things.

Shop smart. Now if you are that weak in restricting yourself to a limited budget, you can try other things to maintain and save your monthly pocket money. Don’t shop mindlessly, search for sales and offer months. Subscribe to your favorite shopping sites to know about their deals on time.

Snack Smart. We’ve all been guilty of overspending too much money over fast food and snacks. No one gains any benefit by munching these snacks. They are neither healthy nor enough to fill you. Instead of this grab some fruit and keep it with you for the time when you feel like snacking something. With this, you are not spending any extra money, and to top that you are eating healthy.

Apply for scholarships. If you are one of those bright students then you can also apply for scholarship test. Win the scholarship and they’ll pay for your study expenses. Isn’t that a great deal? What are you waiting for, start studying right away.

Use student discount. There are many places where you can play your ‘student card’. It is great and it brings many rewards with it too.

Save, Save, Save. Can you do this? Try to save some amount of your every month’s pocket money. Imagine you want to buy some expensive watch, but you can’t ask your parents for that big amount, what you’ll do? Either you can save for it or simply forget it. We think it’s better if you go with the former one.

Use public transport. It’s a win-win situation for you and the atmosphere too. Using a public transport is the cheapest way to traveling in the city. It has the greatest connectivity in the city, it is easy and it is cheap; one combination we all want.

Share rides. If you don’t like traveling in a public transport, you can also share rides with your friends. It is easy and convenient. Just share the monthly bill of fuel with them and you’re done.

Rent those party clothes. We all have gone through that pain where we bought expensive attire for the party and then never wore it again. Next time, when you come across with this situation, just go to any online renting site to rent a cloth for a night. It is easy and won’t be heavy on your product.
